Robert Bartkus Co-Authors New Arbitration Book With Judge Dreier
Robert E. Bartkus and Hon. William A. Dreier, P.J.A.D. (Ret.), have co-written the New Jersey Arbitration Handbook, 2020 Edition.
The handbook, published by Law Journal Press, guides lawyers and arbitrators through the process.
It includes more than 250 new, published and unpublished cases from New Jersey state and federal courts in the past two years, commentary on significant out-of-state cases, and landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases from 2018 and 2019.
This edition contains new sections on a wide range of topics from telephone/video hearings to confidentiality to appeals.
It also features expanded discussions of rules, statutes, procedures and forums for making motions to compel or stay an arbitration, and motions to confirm, vacate or modify an award.
In addition, the handbook focuses on day-to-day problems of providing and receiving proofs at arbitration hearings anywhere in the country.
Judge Dreier, a retired Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Appellate Division, is a long-time arbitrator and mediator. Bob, of counsel at Anselmi & Carvelli, LLP, focuses on business and international arbitration and litigation.
