Cannabis Law

The cultivation, manufacture and sale of medical cannabis is a rapidly emerging business in the State of New Jersey. The sale of medical cannabis has been has been legal for several years and the medical illnesses which can now be treated with medical cannabis have been substantially expanded by the State of New Jersey. It is anticipated that the number of cultivation sites, manufacturing facilities and medical dispensaries in the State will continue to grow significantly in the coming years.
The medical cannabis industry is regulated by the New Jersey Cannabis Control Commission. As the industry expands the Commission continues to propound new regulations governing every aspect of the medical cannabis business. These regulations are evolving and far reaching and require constant monitoring to insure regulatory compliance. Since Cannabis continues to be listed as a Schedule l drug by the Food and Drug Administration, vigilance must be paid to developments on the federal level as well.
Anselmi & Carvelli, LLP was one of the first law firms to represent a medical cannabis dispensary in the State of New Jersey and is uniquely positioned to render legal services in this rapidly growing and complex field.
