JH Oliverio Obtains Favorable Result for Funeral Home Director and Manager in Regulatory Investigation
Anselmi and Carvelli attorney James Harry (JH) Oliverio obtained a favorable result in a regulatory matter on behalf of a funeral home and its leaders, earning a full dismissal of the complaint and investigation. JH often represents individuals and businesses in highly regulated industries and concentrates his practice on general business and commercial litigation in state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York.
In this case, a consumer complaint alleged a funeral home had violated Title 13, Chapter 36 of the New Jersey Administrative Code, which prompted an investigation by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division of Consumer Affairs, and the State Board of Mortuary Science.
After a full day hearing wherein the Deputy Attorney General and members of the State Board of Mortuary Science questioned the funeral home director and manager, the Attorney General’s Office and State Board concluded there was no merit to the allegations and dismissed the complaint in its entirety.
