Labor and Employment/Governmental Law Attorney

Anselmi & Carvelli, LLP, PC (MARC) is seeking a labor & employment law/governmental law attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, with the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will have an extraordinary opportunity to continue their professional development in a challenging but collegial environment. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include litigation activities such as motion practice, hearings, legal research and writing, negotiation, and counseling. It will also include correspondence and communication with clients and their personnel, attending government meetings and coordination with attorneys across other practice areas. 

The right candidate must have a working knowledge of the legal principles that govern the employee-employer relationship, including the NJLAD, CEPA and LAD, and the laws which protect NJ public entities. The candidate will preferably have prior experience litigating employment disputes and/or defending public entities.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience in labor and employment litigation and counseling or governmental law. Knowledge of Open Public Records Act (OPRA) a plus.
  • Judicial clerkship preferred
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to interact directly with clients
  • Licensed to practice in both New Jersey and New York

Corporate/Transactional Attorney

Anselmi & Carvelli, LLP (MARC) is seeking a corporate/transactional attorney to join our team to do interesting and sophisticated transactional work. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a great environment with top-drawer colleagues. 

Qualifications

  • Excellent academic and employment credentials
  • A secure and diverse foundation in the major elements of a successful corporate law practice, including exposure to securities, regulatory, finance, and healthcare matters
  • Experience with negotiating and generating documents in the area of real estate, banking, leasing, corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate outstanding analytical, written, and oral communication skills as well as research skills
  • Attorneys with a book of business are a plus and encouraged to inquire
